Consultations
Spodak, Stefano & Associates' integrated consulting services help parents and students develop a broader understanding of academic or social challenges and provide them with the services and resources to succeed. Collaborating closely with parents and referring professionals, we review prior results, determine the effectiveness of services performed, coordinate services among providers, and present a detailed analysis along with a recommended plan of prioritized next steps. If warranted, we will observe the student and/or make referrals to specific outside specialists and recommend appropriate school placement.
Our consultations include:
- Reviewing academic progress and determining need for further evaluation
- Interpreting testing and evaluation results
- Observing student in classroom setting
- Developing an action plan for parents/student and school
- Participating in school conferences/IEP meetings
- Determining alternate school placements
- Identifying appropriate referrals to address academic issues/emotional disorders
- Ongoing follow-up
